Did you ever take a step back and wonder why someone would be called a ‘sheep’?
If someone calls you a ‘sheep’, do you really understand what they’re saying to you?
It should be obvious, but I guess it’s not so much.
It’s really pretty simple…a ‘sheep’ is a mindless follower with no will of its own, perfectly contented to step in line and follow the herd, no matter what is said and no matter what it may do to the world around them.
If there’s no will, there’s no consequence.
Anyone that – immediately and without question – blindly accepts erroneous and unfounded marching orders from a perceived “authority” is considered a ‘sheep’.
Anyone that absolutely refuses to listen to the questions and concerns of anyone outside the herd concerning those marching orders is considered a ‘sheep’.
Anyone that absolutely refuses to discuss any ideas with anyone else that might in any way differ from their marching orders is considered a ‘sheep’.
Anyone that absolutely refuses to even attempt to understand anything presented in opposition to those marching orders is considered a ‘sheep’.
In short, a ‘sheep’ is nothing more than a weak-minded individual that prefers the relative umbrella safety of a ‘shepherd’ to the free-thinking ‘dangers’ of the exchange and improvement of ideas.
A ‘sheep’ is radicalized cannon fodder for ideology and agenda.
That means it’s a pile of useless and unimportant shit that’s stuffed into a cannon to help ‘boost the blast’ and enforce the ideology and agenda.
They have no other purpose or value to the ‘shepherd’ they follow other than to be a deflective wall against anyone that would dare to offer a differing opinion.
They will do and say whatever the ‘shepherd’ tells them to do and say simply because they were told to do so.
No other reason.
For someone that craves an ‘umbrella safety’ but doesn’t have the spine to work for it themselves, it’s the perfect arrangement. After all, it is so much easier to go through life with someone else doing all of your thinking, isn’t it? Except for one thing…believing isn’t enough to force the agenda.
The thing I find so interesting are the vehement attacks that the ‘sheep’ will spout in defense of their ‘shepherd’. That is the one and only time the ‘sheep’ will rise to face ANY confrontation – those times when it looks like their umbrella safety might be threatened.
But just as they always do, they recoil, back down and cower just as fast.
Here’s a good example…there is a certain group has most recently predicated practically its entire existence upon the ‘gay rights’ issue (and all the other letters that may apply) as a whole – that same group that has made it abundantly clear that those perceived rights should be above ALL other citizens’ rights.
That same group is now attempting to throw ‘gay slurs’ at the opposition in a pathetic attempt to denigrate and insult the leaders of their opposition…using the EXACT same script they were told to follow AGAINST such rhetoric!
Same script, new marching orders.
It's the same blueprint they’ve been following with regard to accusatory lies, the accusation of lies and the general substance of the supporters of ONE man, in particular.
Sing along…you know the words…
“he’s a liar, he's a criminal, he’s a misogynist, he’s a nazi, he wants us all in concentration camps, he’s going to take away all of OUR rights”
Blahddy-blue, blahddy-blue, blahddy-fucking-blah.
The ‘sheep’ become enraged when their efforts DO NOT convert everyone else to their way of thinking…and against their ‘sworn’ enemy. They cannot understand why the rest of us won’t just believe what we’re told and fall into line with them.
And then all of us – all of The People – are called heretics and conspiracy theorists and homophobes and transphobes and, of course, racists.
If you listen closely, you can hear the bleating rise up and out of the barnyard and over the pasture on its way to the nearest cliff. For a group that prefers to be led around by the tips of their noses, they are so quick as a group to defend their leaders as though they were a lion defending his pride.
Big roar, sure, but mostly annoying.
But no teeth.
Certainly no pride – in any sense of the word.
No free will.
No free thought.
Blindly ‘believing’ is just not enough to pull it off.
Yet, the ‘shepherds’ push onward, talking over others, waving auction paddles, posting ridiculous social media dances and making official statements using ‘ghetto talk’ – all of it coming from ELECTED PUBLIC OFFICIALS hoping to con The People into believing that they’re twenty-year old rebels with a cause instead of the SAME middle-aged-elderly folks that have really ‘shepherded’ the script, the agenda and all of its ideologies from the get-go.
No teeth in any of it.
No substance to any of it.
Total absence of logic and pride – in any sense of the words.
And NO buy-in from their intended target audience…nothing but ridicule and laughter.
Yet, the script dictates to them that all of this is, in fact, winning the day.
So, they keep on digging themselves down deeper.
Sadly, they’re still fully funded.
No concept – AND NO WANT FOR A CONCEPT – of what it is they are actually doing.
But who needs that if your ‘shepherd’ tosses you a cookie for doing such a good job yipping at those pesky free-thinkers?
A pat on the head for following the script seems to be reward enough.
HOW CAN THAT EVER BE GOOD ENOUGH FOR ANYONE THAT IS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO LIVE IN THIS COUNTRY AND CALL THEMSELVES A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA???
Free speech is NOT screaming someone else’s diatribe because you were told to do so!
You are in no way speaking freely when you parrot the ‘shepherd’s’ script!
Free speech is NOT persecuting and vilifying and defaming ANYONE AND EVRYONE that simply disagrees with that diatribe.
There is a fine line between freedom of speech and defamation. Defamation is a very necessary legal term because of the people that would rather loudly and publicly attack without any evidence, cause or foundation in the hopes that the world will believe them and HARM their opponents.
Free speech is NOT attacking and threatening and proclaiming calls for violence in an attempt to quash any opposition to that diatribe.
THAT is called assault, terroristic threat and inciting to riot.
Free speech IS the ability to speak your own mind and make your own voice heard.
You might be wrong and you might be right, but if you’re saying what YOU believe based upon YOUR own thoughts and no one else’s, then you’re doing it right.
Free speech IS the ability to speak your own mind, without fear of persecution for any nonconforming view.
Unless your speech is an attempt to bring harm and/or violence to your opposition, intimidate them or is a call for their assassination, speaking your free mind should NEVER be punishable in any way. THAT is the real distinction here.
But, sadly, none of this will ever make a damn bit of difference to the ‘sheep’ of this world for one simple reason…
It’s easy to fool a simple mind, but it’s damn-near impossible to change a simple mind once it’s been fooled.
