The playground looks empty these days.
Sure, there’s a few rambunctious children still running in circles screaming and yelling at farts in the wind.
But not many.
In the center of the playground is that same old familiar dirt pile…the throne of the hopeful ‘king of the hill’.
But the playground is empty all around it.
The cheering and screaming ideological supporters are all but silenced now. They’re mostly gone. Nothing but crickets are hanging around to cheer on the next kid that jumps on top of that big ol’ pile of dirt and mud.
Nothing but crickets.
Suddenly, a Governor sees what he thinks is an opening.
He lunges at the dirt pile, and he finally makes it all the way to the top.
He looks across his new ‘domain’ and screams, “You can’t accuse me of ANY wrongdoing because YOU are all racists and white supremacists!”
Six years ago, these simple words would have ignited pointless, ill-conceived – and well-funded – riots intended to serve as smokescreens for the real and actual actions of that self-appointed ‘king of the hill’.
But now?
Nothing but crickets.
The seismic plates have begun their next cultural shift beneath our feet.
The attitudes of The People have finally begun to change.
Not that the vast majority of The People EVER went along with all of that labeling, erasing, canceling, defaming and destructive leftist rhetoric.
No. The sin of The People was that we allowed that insanity go on for much too long.
We thought that the screaming malcontents would cry themselves to sleep like so many whining babies. Unfortunately, the malcontents only screamed louder. Usually, if you let a screaming baby cry it out, they will eventually realize there’s no point and they will stop and go to sleep.
That was not to be the case. Especially considering that these children grew up NEVER hearing ‘no’ and NEVER learning the most valuable lesson of all…EVERY ACTION HAS A CONSEQUENCE.
As a result, these children understood it to mean that they should keep on screaming – and scream even louder – and then they could get everything they want…no matter how ridiculous or insane the agenda or rhetoric.
It took a few years, but that incessant juvenile screaming began to grate on each and every one of The People that quietly retained their sanity. And it began to grate HARD.
Until one fateful day when a collective stern word was finally uttered by The People…
“ENOUGH!”
And so now we find ourselves on Society’s Event Horizon.
We find ourselves – so blessedly – tipping on the very edge our societal scales.
That point of no return that will suck in all of the nonsensical debris, never allowing it to escape.
I just wish it wasn’t taking so long to finish them off.
Look around. Listen to the talk. Look at what you see through a clear lens.
The general tone is changing.
I was so impressed and so encouraged to hear at least one hardcore leftist FINALLY giving President Donald Trump credit for his actions with regards to peace keeping! In situations like these, their hypocrisy could not be sustained or defended in any way – even THEY could not dispute it!
It is NOT A SIN, and it is even ‘OK’ to support – and even commend – your adversary for doing ‘good’. Even they are beginning to see this for themselves.
To be sure, those children will never stop screaming, not until the very last one of them is sucked down into that black hole.
BUT…they can scream all they want now, because The People once again see all of those misguided – and paid-to-protest efforts – as the meaningless, pointless tantrums they really are.
It’s so telling that the ‘outrage’ volume is lowering right in step with the dissipation of money.
It’s amazing how quickly the ‘outrage’ will collapse, freeze-up and close when there’s no money in it.
NO MONEY, NO OUTRAGE.
Oh sure, they’re still trying to hold the top of the dirt pile.
They were never taught how to survive as an adult.
They were never told ‘no’.
They know nothing except to scream for what they want – never to work for or negotiate for anything – but only to scream to get what they want.
Their ‘gospel’ demands that they vilify and denigrate any and all opposing view and they still insist on rattling that saber.
Their ‘gospel’ demands that they keep repeating the same tired and jaded diatribe that they began using so many years ago…even though EVERY word they preach is now quickly dissected and proven to be egregiously false. It all falls on intentionally deaf ears.
They are now finding out that their agenda DOES NOT MATTER.
They are now finding out that they NEVER held the ‘high ground’…it was a pipe dream all along.
The People have said, “ENOUGH!”
And that Event Horizon is a merciless entity.
IT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEM, EITHER. Nor should it.
Society’s black hole has already started sucking all of that garbage in and across its Event Horizon, never to be seen again solely because The People have said, “ENOUGH!”
A little dose of reality, though…
There will always be turbulence and there will always be discord and disagreement.
It is the essence of society.
There will always be efforts to undermine, destroy and replace a working society as it exists.
Unfortunately, that is the very nature of a ‘society’. Without these struggles and framework, there’s nothing left but nomadic, self-preserving animals attacking each other for food.
Struggle between its layers is what makes this world a society in the first place.
The only saving grace is that each time it rears its head, it’s only wearing a different mask. It’s not really anything new. It’s not always as easy to spot and eradicate – as we are feeling right now in Our Country – but it’s something we have to keep eyes open against at all times.
So here we sit in the bleachers watching that Governor stomping his feet at the top of the dirt pile screaming, “You can’t accuse me of ANY wrongdoing because YOU are all racists and white supremacists!”, sung to the tune of BILLIONS of wasted, mishandled and stolen dollars.
The People don’t believe him and they are not listening, so he has no recourse but to scream louder. His cronies all scream along with him but The People aren’t having any.
Nothing but crickets.
And it’s only a matter of time.
If you watch and listen, you will hear their juvenile screams begin to fade more and more with every day that passes…with every day that drifts them closer to The Event Horizon.
Until the one blessed day comes that the whole thing is sucked inside this society’s black hole…never to return.
